6 Tips For A More Enjoyable Coffee Every Morning

It is undoubtedly true when people say a morning doesn’t start until you’ve had your coffee. Coffee is the magic morning potion to many of us, something that hasn’t and won’t change over the years. It’s engraved in the traditions and heritage of many different cultures. If coffee was a language then we bet more than half of the universe would be speaking the same language by now, but with different accents.

The best way for a day to start is to wake up, take the time to make your own cup of coffee just the way you like it, sit in the morning sun and enjoy every sip – that’s an unbeatable feeling! Take your morning to the next level by trying a few tips we have in store for you. Here are 6 tips for a more enjoyable coffee experience every morning.

1. Blend the Right Bean

One of the most important tips for enjoying a supreme cup of coffee is to select a quality coffee product or coffee bean. The process of selecting a fine product shouldn’t be overwhelming since coffee comes in three original types; Liberica, Arabica, and Robusta coffee. Some people mistake the Excelsa as a fourth type but it’s originally a derivative of Liberica coffee. It’s very important to try several flavors and ask for the origin of the one that captures you the most.

Blends are an amazing way to give your cup a more complex and strong flavor. Knowing your favorite type of coffee is like identifying a very important part of your character. Believe it or not, surveys were already carried out on random coffee lovers finding that people who favor the same coffee products have common traits in their personalities, performances, and interests.

2. Storing and Brewing Is Key To A Good Cup of Coffee

One of the best pieces of advice if you decide to store and brew your own coffee at home, is to always make sure that they are well stored in a tight-sealed container that doesn’t allow air to come in and ruin your beans. Coffee needs to be stored at a rather cool temperature in a dry and dark place. There’s no need to store it in a fridge or a freezer; a closed cabinet away from the heat emitted from cooking and kitchen appliances is the best option.

It’s recommended to not store coffee for too long; instead, make small purchases every now and then to keep it fresh.  There’s a wide and sophisticated variety of brewing machines, and having a good coffee brewer is a plus, but it’s not the only factor that counts in a quality cup of morning coffee. Your choice of beans has the last word in flavor and quality.

3. Select The Right Grinder

Coffee grinders come in many shapes, sizes, and options. Depending on your favorite type of coffee, you should select the coffee grind that best suits your needs and taste. Some coffee beans require an electric grind while others need manual grinds to control adjustments and texture.

Once you’ve selected the right grind, the second step is to know how fine you should grind your coffee according to personal preferences. For instance, for those who favor Turkish coffee, the perfect grind is a powder-sugar texture while other coffee drinks like espresso should be given an extra grind similar to a flour texture. Many coffee types require a medium grin where the texture should be a bit harder like sand or salt particles.

Before brewing your coffee, the grinding step is very important and makes all the difference in taste. It’s an added value to invest in a good grinder.

4. Use Distilled or Filtered Water

After selecting good quality beans and the perfect grind, the brewing comes next to make the whole process of a glorious morning coffee complete. At the end of the day, you need to understand that it’s all about beans and water, so once you’ve got the beans figured out, it’s time to focus on the water.

Your water has to be clean. Use either filtered or distilled bottled water, and avoid tap water as, in some places, it has a bit of a taste that can affect the flavor of your coffee. One of the best brewing tips is adding cool water that slowly warms up during the process.

5. Use Different Brewing Techniques

Normally, we all like to use what we’re already used to, and most of the home-coffee brewers we all have are the traditional drip coffee-makers. But it’s recommended to try other machines like a French press, Moka pot, or stovetop espresso makers to explore what’s out there. If you’re seeking the ultimate morning coffee experience that helps in boosting your day then it’s not a good idea to limit your options.

Any of these options and others will allow you to create a cup of coffee that outperforms the drip brewer you already have.

6. Other Important Tips

The ratio between coffee and water is the main secret to a delicious and pleasant cup of coffee. If you have it all right but messed up in this step, you’re likely to ruin the whole experience. Adding too much or too little water will completely change the flavor but still, the ratio of coffee to water depends on how you like your coffee to taste.

Regularly cleaning your coffee maker is one of the essentials, especially for machines that have baskets and coffee filters. Coffee grounds are meant to be used once, so avoid using them over again.

Although coffee has transformed into different tastes and types, nowadays people still stick to their own recipes. A good cup of coffee is not easy to brew; it takes time and a lot of trials until you find a style that’s delicious to you.

Whether you do it at home or grab it from the nearest coffee shop on your way to work, our advice is not to settle for less. People get to know each other over a cup of coffee, enjoy a chat, and socialize, so make it an extraordinary experience. A good quality cup of coffee is very well appreciated and valued among coffee lovers so if you’re one of them, take a chance to elevate your experience.
